The Ukrainian cryptocurrency exchange Kuna has added support for the euro currency. The exchange announced this in a press release. Kuna claims that the addition of the euro was made possible by the expansion of business in Europe.

Kuna customers can now use the euro in a trading pair with Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and stablecoin Tether (USDT). The exchange supports replenishment in euros through VISA and Mastercard payment systems. Representatives of the trading platform said that the withdrawal to Mastercard "will be added later," but did not provide exact dates.

The company also warned that at the moment not all Ukrainian banks accept transfers in euros. In the instructions, the exchange said that transactions from the exchange are still approved by NeoBank, MonoBank, FUIB and Alfa Bank. Also, the withdrawal works on a card from the neobank Revolut, but the euro is automatically converted into the currency of the card. To withdraw euros, you need to go through verification on Kuna, , while the name and surname of the bank card holder must match the name and surname specified during verification.

The founder of Kuna, Mikhail Chobanyan, admitted that he could not guarantee the absence of questions from other banks. He admitted that the Ukrainian PrivatBank is unlikely to approve the withdrawal of euros from the stock exchange to the card.

Recall that in April, Chobanyan said that Kuna would stop supporting the hryvnia against the backdrop of a blow from local regulators to the cryptocurrency market. He did not specify the timing of the rejection of the hryvnia, but admitted that taking into account the changes, the company's priorities have changed

Starting in March 2023, Ukrainian banks stopped working with cryptocurrencies, citing technical difficulties. Later, as local media found out, the crypto market could fall under repression associated with the struggle of the Ukrainian authorities against gambling.
