Coinbase Welcomes Big Time (BIGTIME) with ERC-20 Support
Coinbase is set to add support for the Big Time (BIGTIME) token, which operates on the Ethereum network under the ERC-20 standard. Transfers for this asset are now available on the platform, and trading is scheduled to commence later today, on October 11, 2023. However, this launch is contingent on meeting liquidity conditions.
The exchange's press release on Twitter stated that "once a sufficient amount of this asset is established, trading in the BIGTIME-USD pair will begin gradually." Additionally, it's worth noting that this cryptocurrency has been labeled as "Experimental."
In other words, it is classified as an "Experimental asset." This designation signifies that a special label has been assigned to the cryptocurrency to enhance transparency and assist clients in making informed decisions. This label is applied to all digital assets that are either new to the Coinbase platform or have relatively low trading volumes compared to the broader cryptocurrency market.
The platform's management advises caution when dealing with such cryptocurrencies due to inherent risks, including price fluctuations and order cancellations. These risks are attributed to low liquidity and limited availability.
OKX's Listing of BIGTIME
While OKX has not made an official announcement about listing the BIGTIME cryptocurrency on their Twitter account, this digital currency has been introduced in trading pairs with USDT (Tether). This information was disclosed by Colin Wu, a prominent Chinese journalist and market analyst.
