AI Token Upsurge Post OpenAI Upheaval
Amid the personnel turmoil at OpenAI, 10 out of 11 AI-focused project tokens have experienced a surge, a report from CoinGecko unveiled. The dynamics of these AI tokens have seen notable growth following the internal shakeup at OpenAI.

Akash Network (AKT) demonstrated the most substantial increase, soaring by 61% from $1.02 to $1.65 since Altman's departure. The token hit its peak on November 20th, reaching $1.85.

Following suit is OriginTrail (TRAC), escalating from $0.26 to $0.38, marking a significant 45.8% increase.

Bittensor (TAO) followed, experiencing a 33% surge, reaching $230.15, with its coin reaching highs at $294.

"AI tokens are rising in response to expectations of Bitcoin ETF spot approval. OpenAI's announcement regarding Altman's dismissal and rehire only captured the attention of investors and traders, further contributing to the recent rally," noted analysts.

According to CoinGecko observations, 8 out of 11 tokens initially experienced declines ranging from 1.4% to 8% following the CEO's departure from the AI company. However, most of them rebounded significantly following reports from Bloomberg about attempts by the firm's employees to reinstate Altman.

Recall that Reuters sources disclosed that before the CEO's dismissal, OpenAI researchers warned the board about a significant discovery in artificial intelligence that "could pose a threat to humanity."
