Interestingly, this isn’t Monobank's first endeavor to launch a crypto card. In 2021, the bank initiated a similar project, but it faced regulatory disapproval from the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU). However, the recent statement by Gorokhovsky indicates a revived interest in such a venture.

Earlier discussions with Monobank's co-founder, Mikhail Rogalsky, hinted at a different stance. Rogalsky had previously stated that the company had no immediate plans to integrate Bitcoin or other crypto assets.
