KyberSwap, a decentralized exchange, has labeled messages about compensations post-hack as fraudulent. The platform’s representatives emphasized that updates regarding the situation are solely published on the project’s official account. Bad actors might counterfeit the KyberSwap profile and disseminate harmful links.

The team also stated that they've reached out to the owners of front-running bots, who withdrew approximately $5.7 million during the exploit. An agreement was made to return 90% of the funds and provide a 10% reward.

The breach of Elastic Pools' liquidity pool, through which a hacker siphoned off around $47 million, was reported on November 23. The hacker left a message intending to commence negotiations "in a few hours" alongside the transaction.

Later, KyberSwap's decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) reached out to the perpetrator, offering until November 25 to return a major portion of the funds in exchange for a reward. Apparently, negotiations didn’t materialize.

Recall that in November, an unknown entity withdrew $25 million in cryptocurrencies from the Taiwanese trading platform Kronos Research.

Previously, blockchain investigator ZachXBT suspected a $2 million theft from the CoinSpot exchange following a breach.
