Coinbase has taken a bold step forward by launching a groundbreaking feature that enables users to transfer money seamlessly using simple links. This innovative service empowers customers to send funds via popular messaging platforms like WhatsApp, iMessage, Telegram, Facebook, Snapchat, TikTok, and Instagram, or even through email.
According to Coinbase's announcement, individuals can send money to others, even if they are in different countries, and transactions will be instantaneous and free of charge. Both the sender and the recipient must have a Coinbase wallet to utilize this service. If a person receives a link and does not have a Coinbase digital wallet, they will be prompted to download it from the Apple or Android app stores. In the event that funds are sent but not received within two weeks, the money will automatically be returned to the sender.
Currently, the Coinbase wallet is accessible in over 170 countries. Coinbase's efforts to boost the popularity of digital wallets come amid the cryptocurrency market's rapid capitalization growth. This innovation will significantly enhance the appeal of digital currencies and serve as another catalyst for market growth.
