Metagood Raises $5 Million in Funding Round

Metagood, a prominent player in the world of blockchain technology and digital assets, has made headlines by securing $5 million in its recent funding round. This achievement marks another significant milestone in the company's journey towards advancing blockchain innovation and expanding its portfolio of digital assets.

The funding round, led by Sora Ventures, saw the participation of several major venture companies, including ACTAI Ventures, Bitcoin Frontier Fund, Bitcoin Magazine Fund, London Real Ventures, and startup Peach.xyz. This financial backing is earmarked for the development of cutting-edge technologies and products, as well as for marketing initiatives on the Osura platform and nurturing partnerships with artists.

Metagood's vision centers around the concept of utilizing NFTs as a means of tokenizing and exchanging valuable items. The company's co-founder and chairman, Bill Tai, emphasized this vision, stating, "We founded the company based on the idea of using NFTs as expressions, where everyone creates valuable items that are tokenized and traded."

Approximately a year ago, Metagood introduced its flagship collection of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) known as OnChainMonkey. This collection has gained popularity and played a significant role in attracting investors and enthusiasts to the company.

Notably, Metagood's impressive roster of investors includes individuals and entities from various sectors. In 2022, digital studio Animoca Brands, Morgan Creek Capital's founder and CEO Mark Yusko, and Virgin Group's investment manager Freddie Andrews joined the ranks of Metagood supporters. The list also features renowned figures like actor Owen Wilson, Virgin Unite's chairman Holly Branson, and Rotten Tomatoes co-founders Patrick Lee and Steven Wang. Furthermore, the company has garnered attention from industry leaders such as Roham Gharegozlou of Dapper Labs, Jeffrey Zirlin of Infinity, and Sebastien Borget of The Sandbox.
