Representatives from CoinDesk have shared the most notable events in the crypto protocol industry for December 14, 2023. They have highlighted several events that warrant the attention of market participants. Here's what you need to know:

Immutable's Next-Gen Scaling Platform:
Specialists announced a major development from Immutable, the gaming company. They introduced the "zero-knowledge (ZK) scaling platform," Immutable zkEVM, in collaboration with Polygon Labs. This innovation aims to completely eliminate transaction fees for seamless integration and enhance the user experience.

Cronos Labs' L2 Network:
The blockchain development team at Cronos Labs announced the launch of a new Layer 2 (L2) network. This move aligns with various projects in the sector aiming to build auxiliary networks for the Ethereum ecosystem. The Cronos zkEVM chain initially launched as a testnet and will undergo extensive testing before its full implementation. The team used Matter Labs' software tools to deploy new L2 and L3 "hyperchains."

Vitalik Buterin's Ethereum Network Plan:
Notably, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, who previously advocated for migrating "blockchain computation data" to other networks, released a new plan for Ethereum's development. His proposal involves moving L2 functions back to the main chain. His idea of "anchored zkEVM" has raised eyebrows in the industry, as many ZK and Rollup technology developers, including Polygon, Matter Labs, and Scroll, have invested significantly in Ethereum's current roadmap.
