HashKey Capital Singapore, a subsidiary of the cryptocurrency asset manager HashKey Capital, has taken a significant step towards legal compliance in Singapore. The subsidiary has been granted a license by the Monetary Authority of Singapore to provide Capital Markets Services (CMS), allowing them to contribute to the growth of the local blockchain community. This achievement was announced by the company's CEO, Deng Chao. The parent organization had previously received permission to operate with digital assets in November 2022.
With this development, HashKey Capital Singapore becomes the third entity, following DigiFT cryptocurrency exchange and SBI Digital Markets, to obtain a CMS license in Singapore. SBI Digital Markets, a subsidiary of the Japanese financial services giant SBI Holdings, had secured the license as early as September of the previous year.
HashKey Capital's management aims to create an environment where traditional and digital financial ecosystems coexist harmoniously. The organization successfully raised $500 million for its third fund in January 2023 and plans to invest in various startups within the Web3 and cryptography sectors.
