In December 2013, XRP embarked on an explosive rally, reaching a peak of $0.0614 on December 5th but closing the year at $0.0274. If an investor had put $1000 into XRP, they would have acquired 36,496 XRP tokens. Today, those tokens are worth $22,737.

In December 2014, XRP saw another surge, though less intense. It closed the year at $0.0244, resulting in a value of $25,532 for the same $1000 investment.

December 2015 saw XRP trading much lower at just $0.006. However, if an investor had put $1000 into XRP at that time, it would now be worth $103,833.

In 2016, XRP remained relatively stable, closing the year at $0.006, the same as the previous year. An investment of $1000 would now be valued at $103,833.

By December 2017, XRP reached nearly $2 but later dropped to $1.99 on December 31st. A $1000 investment then would be worth $502 today, representing a loss of nearly 50%.

XRP in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022

On December 31, 2018, XRP traded at $0.34, turning a $1000 investment into $1823 today.

In 2019, XRP's price plummeted below $0.2, closing the year at $0.1925. An investor's $1000 would have bought 5,194 tokens, now valued at $3,236.

In 2020, the U.S. SEC's legal actions against Ripple affected XRP's price, dropping it to $0.17 in December. On December 31, 2020, it traded at $0.2198, making a $1000 investment worth $2834 today.

Despite legal challenges, XRP reached $1.96 in 2021 but ended the year at $0.8292 on December 31st. A $1000 investment at that time would have decreased to $677, a loss of $323.

In 2022, XRP faced pressure due to crises involving Terra and FTX. By December 31, 2022, XRP was trading at $0.3389. If an investor had invested $1000 on the previous New Year's Eve, they would have a profit of $1838 today.
