1. dYdX (DYDX) - Unlock Date: January 1st
- Unlocked Tokens: 33,330,000 DYDX
- Current Circulating Supply: 270,009,682 DYDX
- In early 2023, the decentralized derivatives trading protocol, dYdX, announced changes to its tokenomics. These changes allocate 30% of the total DYDX supply to early investors, with another 30% going to the team and community reserve. Additionally, 28% will be used for trader and liquidity provider rewards, while the rest is reserved for future employees. Currently, around 28% of the total 1 billion DYDX supply is in circulation, with the remaining tokens set to unlock gradually over the next two years.
2. Aptos (APT) - Unlock Date: January 12th
- Unlocked Tokens: 24,840,000 APT
- Current Circulating Supply: 307,421,111 APT
- Despite being one of the successful projects of 2023, Aptos' Layer-1 blockchain has faced criticism due to its venture capital-dominated tokenomics. Most of the APT supply remains locked, with unlockings scheduled monthly for the next decade. Tokens unlocked on January 12th will be distributed among the Aptos fund, community members, and investors.
3. ApeCoin (APE) - Unlock Date: January 17th
- Unlocked Tokens: 15,600,000 APE
- Current Circulating Supply: 368,593,750 APE
- ApeCoin, the native token of Yuga Labs' Ape ecosystem, which includes the popular Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection, typically experiences price drops during unlockings. However, given the resurgence of interest in NFTs and BAYC, the upcoming dip may not be as severe.
4. Axie Infinity (AXS) - Unlock Date: January 18th

- Current Circulating Supply: 134,610,804 AXS
- Axie Infinity, a well-known Play-to-Earn project, allows players to breed and battle creatures called "axies." The native AXS token is used for platform development and other tasks. The unlocked tokens on January 18th will serve as staking rewards.
5. Injective Protocol (INJ) - Unlock Date: January 21st
- Unlocked Tokens: 3,670,000 INJ
- Current Circulating Supply: 84,255,555 INJ
- Injective is a versatile decentralized application platform offering various financial products, including futures and spot trading. The native INJ token provides governance rights and rewards for liquidity providers, developers, and network validators. The 3.67 million tokens unlocking at the end of January will be allocated to the project's team and advisors.
