Expanding Taki Games
Taki Games has achieved significant success by acquiring well-known mobile games, Bored Button and Mom’s Kitchen. The former boasts 5 million installations, developed by Gabble Studios, while the latter, a culinary game by Magic Game Studio, has garnered over 150,000 downloads.
Financial commitments for this transformation are noteworthy: Taki Games revealed total expenditures of $2.5 million in US dollars and TAKI tokens for mergers and acquisitions. The company plans to introduce its own TAKI token on Polygon, implementing a deflationary reward model known as "Takonomics." This model involves token buybacks and burning, gradually reducing their circulation.
New Leadership
Weiwei Gan, the former CEO of Unite and current head of Taki Games, brings extensive experience. He co-founded Rally Network and held key positions in the esports team Gen.G and mobile gaming giant Kabam. Under his leadership, Kabam witnessed the successful launch of mobile games like "Kingdoms of Camelot" and "The Hobbit."
In 2021, the number of play-to-earn games experienced a sharp rise, as seen in the success of Axie Infinity. Taki aims to capitalize on this trend by distributing TAKI tokens among players through gameplay. Gan emphasizes the inclusion of in-game advertising revenue in the reward distribution network. Currently, TAKI is implemented in 11 mobile games and will soon be integrated into all of them.
Exploring Multichain Future
Despite the strategic shift towards gaming, the company remains committed to supporting the TAKI token on Solana and plans to expand its presence in various blockchain networks following the same buyback and burn model. According to Gan, TAKI's mission is to enhance gamers' opportunities by transforming multi-billion-dollar markets into tangible value that players can retain for themselves.
