Bitfarms, founded in 2017, is actively expanding its operations. The company recently placed an order for 35,888 Antminer T21 mining devices from Bitmain, a leading manufacturer of mining equipment. Deliveries are scheduled to take place from March to May 2024.
In April of the previous year, Bitfarms obtained the necessary permits to increase its production capacity to 100 MW at its facility in Argentina. The mining farm was opened last year in the city of Rio Cuarto.
With this new venture in Paraguay, Bitfarms aims to rely on over 85% of its energy portfolio from low-cost, eco-friendly sources, promoting sustainable Bitcoin mining practices. The company's expansion and commitment to renewable energy sources underscore its dedication to the cryptocurrency mining industry's future.
