In a surprising revelation, Ukraine's Minister for Strategic Industries, Alexander Kamyshin, has disclosed that he earned more than ₴17.4 million from cryptocurrency sales in the year 2023. This astonishing income represents a substantial surge from his previous year's earnings of ₴1.8 million from crypto assets.

In addition to his cryptocurrency investments, Kamyshin has also declared ownership of a house and a plot of land in the village of Troshchyn in the Cherkasy region. These properties were valued at approximately ₴292,000 in 2016. Notably, the official did not declare any expensive cars or valuable possessions in his declaration.

Furthermore, Kamyshin has investments in valuable securities and has received dividends from an investment fund. He still holds assets on the Binance cryptocurrency exchange, including 2.45 USDT, 0.00000967 BTC, 9.32 BUSD, and 0.78 XRP.

This financial revelation comes on the heels of other Ukrainian officials, including Vitaliy Kim, chairman of the Nikolaev Regional State Administration, who invested nearly $30,000 in Bitcoin. Additionally, candidates for the position of head of Ukraine's National Anti-Corruption Agency, Ekaterina Kaplyuk, and Alexander Skomarov, have also invested in crypto assets.

The substantial increase in Kamyshin's cryptocurrency earnings raises questions about the growing popularity of digital assets among Ukrainian officials and their potential implications for the country's financial landscape.
