Happycoin.club is a platform that, for the 282nd time in the history of Bitcoin, witnessed a rare event: a solo miner managed to add a block to the network of this cryptocurrency.
Solo miner success
The administrator of the Solo CKpool mining pool, Con Kolyvas, shared amazing news: last Sunday, a solo miner with a high hashrate of 120 petahash successfully verified block 841286, for which he received a generous reward of 3,125 BTC, which is equivalent to $195,356 at the current rate.
Rare event
It is believed that adding a block to the Bitcoin network by a solo miner is an extremely rare occurrence. So far, only 282 of the 841,292 blocks have been confirmed by individual miners. This means that the probability of such an event is only 0.034%. Typically, blocks are added by commercial institutions such as mining pools.
History of success
This is not the first time for our lucky guy. Earlier, on April 5, he earned as much as $422,750 for verifying a block when the reward was 6.25 BTC. However, after the April 20 halving, the reward amount was halved and will remain at 3.125 BTC until the next halving in 2028.
The solo miner continues to impress with his successes, proving that sometimes a solo effort can yield significant results in the world of cryptocurrencies.
