Microsoft and Amazon announced more than $5 billion in funding to support digital innovation and economic growth in France at the annual Choose France summit.
Microsoft plans to expand its data centers and build a new one in Mulhouse, investing $4.3 billion in the development of cloud and AI infrastructure. The company will also use funds to train artificial intelligence and support the technology industry in the country.

Record investment for France
The combined investments of Microsoft and Amazon, as well as other foreign companies, amounted to $16.17 billion, which is a record amount since the first Choose France summit in 2018.
President Emmanuel Macron noted that these investments include 56 different business projects and could help create 10,000 new jobs in France.
