The move cements Ethernity Chain’s position in the Superchain Optimism ecosystem, which already includes leaders such as Coinbase ‘Base’, Worldcoin, Zora, and Camp Network. Superchain unites multiple chains with a common technological foundation, the OP Stack, which provides contributions to the Optimism Collective.

Ethernity Chain is designed to solve the problems that the global entertainment industry faces when adopting blockchain. It hides the complexities of web3 with consumer-facing tools and an AI-powered digital rights management system to securely protect users’ intellectual property on the blockchain.

The launch of the Ethernity testnet on Superchain, which connects over 20 chains, 800 applications, and $16 billion in value locked, opens up new opportunities for developers to build and test their applications before the main launch. Ethernity has already attracted a variety of entertainment projects such as games, NFTs, and interactive media to collaborate. Their launch is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

“Joining the Superchain ecosystem is an important step for us,” said Marcelo Pham, co-founder and chief engineer of Ethernity. “We aim to combine traditional entertainment and blockchain, creating a platform where big brands can grow and innovate.”

An important part of Ethernity’s infrastructure is its collaboration with partners who provide developers with all the tools they need. The second-layer platform is powered by Gelato RaaS, which provides web3 cloud services such as interest-free transactions, API access, and random data generation for fair contests and dynamic NFTs. More integrations, including social logins and credit card payments, will be announced soon.

“The entertainment industry is poised for a revolution with blockchain technology, and we are proud to support Ethernity’s vision,” said Gelato co-founder Louis Schlisske. “Our Rollup-as-a-Service platform and built-in solutions allow Ethernity to focus on building products while we take care of the technical side.”

In addition, Ethernity will soon launch a grant program to support developers. The program will provide marketing support, technical advice, and investor relations to help them successfully build projects on top of Ethernity L2.

The testnet launch follows the success of Ethernity’s previous initiatives, such as bringing celebrities Lionel Messi and Shaquille O’Neal to the blockchain.
