In 2024, the non-fungible token (NFT) market is experiencing a renaissance thanks to the integration into popular games on the Telegram platform. NFTs, which are unique digital certificates confirming the ownership of various digital objects, are once again attracting the attention of users.

400% Activity Growth in Q3

In the third quarter of this year, NFT-related activity on Telegram increased by 400%. This growth was achieved thanks to the successful implementation of NFTs in the messenger's games, which allowed users to interact with digital assets, creating a new gaming experience.

In particular, in September 2024, nine popular games on the platform attracted three million active cryptocurrency wallets. This indicates that users are not only exchanging tokens, but also spending significantly more time in these games. In October, the platform's gameplay time doubled, thanks to the active implementation of NFTs.

Hamster Kombat is integrating NFTs

One of the most anticipated developments is the integration of NFTs into the popular game "Hamster Kombat", which has already gained recognition among users. In the second season of the game, scheduled for November, players will be able to use NFTs as game assets. The game developers also published a detailed roadmap for 2024-2025, promising new game mechanics and an improved plot related to the purchase and ownership of digital assets.

NFT-based games offer a new economic model

Telegram projects using NFTs continue to gain popularity, as the integration of Web3 technologies attracts not only ordinary players but also crypto investors. The inclusion of NFTs in games allows increasing the value of virtual items, creating an economic system where users can not only participate in the gameplay but also manage valuable digital assets.

Challenges to NFT Development

Despite the positive trends, the NFT market still faces a number of serious challenges. According to analysts, about 96% of all NFTs created are considered inactive, which leads to significant losses for their owners. The main obstacles include fraud, market manipulation, and the uncertainty of the legal status of NFTs.

For Hamster Kombat and other gaming projects to be successful in the long term, these challenges must be overcome and a stable and reliable ecosystem for players and investors must be created.
