The authorities are confident that blockchain is a key element of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and can significantly impact the country's digital transformation.
As part of the new strategy, Vietnam aims to become a leader among Southeast Asian countries in the field of blockchain research and technology implementation. The main goals include:
1. Creating 20 leading brands related to blockchain products and platforms;
2. Opening at least three experimental centers or special zones that will form the basis for the formation of a national network;
3. Getting into the top 10 best educational and research institutions in the region that will deal with blockchain.
To implement these ambitious goals, the state has developed an action plan that covers five key areas:
1. Strengthening the legal framework for blockchain activities;
2. Developing infrastructure and creating an industrial blockchain ecosystem;
3. Training qualified specialists in the field of blockchain;
4. Stimulating the development and implementation of technologies;
5. Participation in international research and innovation projects.
Each area is supervised by a separate government agency, which ensures a clear distribution of responsibilities and control over implementation.
It is noteworthy that Vietnam ranks fifth in the world ranking of cryptocurrency adoption, compiled by Chainalysis.
