Bankrupt cryptocurrency exchange FTX spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on marketing fees from various celebrities, according to a lawsuit filed by the company's current management.

The list of stars who received payments included:

Former professional basketball player Shaquille O'Neal - $750,000;
Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka - $308,000;
Rugby player Trevor Lawrence - $206,000;
Former baseball player David Ortiz - $271,000.

The plaintiffs said the list is not complete and they are actively working to identify all payments to determine how many can be recovered to pay off debts.

Some of these celebrities have already been sued by creditors. In May, Shaquille O'Neal received documents regarding his participation in the FTX trial. He was given a summons during one of the sports matches.

Crypto exchange FTX has filed a lawsuit against LayerZero Labs, former COO Ari Litan and his company Skip & Goose for a total of $41.09 million.
