Genesis will cease providing digital asset derivatives trading services through GGC International on September 21, 2023, WSJ reports.
The company said in a statement that the move means it will no longer offer trading services through any of its divisions. The statement also said that the decision was made voluntarily and for business reasons.
“If you have open derivatives positions with GGCI, they will be maintained until they expire and we will maintain agreements with you to close or help you manage any open positions,” Genesis said in an email to checked out The Block.
Coindesk reported that Genesis will cease operating its OTC platform on September 18th and will close all remaining accounts on September 30th.
In early September, Genesis sued DCG over $600 million in debt.
