TON and AAVE Lead the Way in Cryptocurrency Gains

As of 2:00 PM Moscow time on September 16, 2023, Toncoin (TON) and Aave (AAVE) cryptocurrencies emerged as the top performers of the day. They outshone all other digital assets within the top 100 by market capitalization in terms of price growth over the past 24 hours. Toncoin maintained its 11th position on the list, surging by an impressive 12.6%.
The TON token was trading at $2.2, with a total circulating supply reaching $7.53 billion. Consequently, the virtual currency's value surged by nearly 22% over the week and an astonishing 55% over the last 30 days. This remarkable growth was attributed to the recent news that cryptocurrencies would become available to all Telegram messenger users. However, it's worth noting that the current Toncoin price still remained 62% below its all-time high.
The daily trading volume for TON reached $71.21 million, marking a 102.9% increase compared to the previous day. Despite this growth, Toncoin ranked only 46th in trading volume over the past 24 hours.
Turning our attention to AAVE, its cryptocurrency's prices increased by 8.05% during the reporting period, making the native token of the popular decentralized financial platform (DeFi) available for $59.57. Thanks to these impressive figures, the digital currency climbed to the 43rd position on the list of top cryptocurrencies, with a market capitalization of $866.06 million. Daily trading volumes were recorded at $105.02 million.
It's also worth mentioning that the top five most profitable cryptocurrencies of the day included THORChain (RUNE), Flow (FLOW), and Kava (KAVA). Their prices surged by 7.6%, 7.25%, and 6.93%, respectively. Despite their gains, all three were still trading at 91% or more below their historical price peaks. Meanwhile, the global crypto market experienced a slight dip, losing 0.2% of its total capitalization, which stood at $1.05 trillion.
