JB's Adventures YouTuber, who boasted of buying a personalized crypto address, accidentally revealed his criminal source of income

YouTuber JB's Adventures with 122 thousand subscribers was at the center of a scandal around a phishing crypto scheme. The results of the investigation were published on Twitter by a blockchain analyst under the pseudonym ZachXBT.

According to the analyst, the YouTuber accidentally exposed his cryptocurrency address when he was conducting a question-and-answer session with subscribers on Snapchat. After tracking the purchases of the cool-breeze.eth personal address, the analyst found out that he bought the BAYC 8668 token of the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection in October 2022. However, it was not so much the token itself that attracted ZachXBT's attention, but rather the funds to buy this NFT. After studying the history of replenishment of the wallet, the analyst came to the conclusion that more than 85 ETH to the cool-breeze.eth account came from addresses directly related to the Monkey Drainer phishing constructor.
Monkey Drainer is a pseudonym for a cyberattacker, as well as a set of fraudulent tools of the same name for stealing NFTs and cryptocurrencies through malicious smart contracts.
As ZachXBT notes, the YouTuber was aware of the criminal proceeds and, moreover, he himself trained his partners in phishing schemes on a private server in Discord. It is noteworthy that at the end of 2022, the YouTuber himself became a victim of Monkey Drainer and lost BAYC 8668, the analyst found out.

However, the attacker did not stop there and decided to become an infogypsy, advertising a successful life on his Snapchat with the help of a watch with rhinestones from Rolex and a Volvo sedan of the 2011 model. Now the YouTuber, taking the pseudonym Blue, is mainly engaged in scamming victims on Twitter through various dummy accounts, ZachXBT noted. At the time of writing, the YouTuber has removed all his videos from the site. The analyst hopes that the evidence he found will be enough for victims to sue the attacker.
