The number of daily users in the metaverse from Meta - Horizon Worlds - is about 900. This was reported by American YouTube blogger Jarvis Johnson.
The man conducted a week-long experiment during which he was in Horizon Worlds. After completing the study, Johnson made several conclusions:
In October 2022, Horizon Worlds announced 200,000 users per month, which was already less than the previously announced 300,000;
Zuckerberg has set a goal of reaching 500,000 monthly members by the end of 2022. It is obvious that this did not happen;
At the time of the experiment, the number of daily active users dropped below 1,000.
Johnson also emphasized that the vast majority of participants in the metaverse were under the age of 18. He stated that “children are bypassing the age restrictions en masse, which
Zuckerberg doesn't stick well."
The YouTube blogger added that typing Horizon Worlds into Google yields the following results: "Is all of Horizon Worlds still available?" and "What are you doing in Horizon Worlds?".
In addition, Johnson said that even after many adjustments, Meta's VR headset "made him feel nauseous."
In April, advocacy groups and activists called on Meta to limit children and teens' access to Horizon Worlds.
