The Swedish group Saab was the strategic investor.
The startup was founded in 2021, its specialization is the development of military solutions and components based on artificial intelligence for military equipment: NATO Eurofighter aircraft, Future Combat Air System programs.
The document says that the project is aimed at creating modern technologies to protect democratic countries.
“We founded Helsing because we believe that AI will be essential to enable democracies to continue to defend their values. Our recent development shows that this belief is shared by governments and industry,” said startup co-founder Gundbert Scherf.
The developer plans to use the funds raised to develop business in France, Germany and the UK.
Daniel Ek, founder of Spotify, supported Helsing. His investment company Prima Materia participated in the Series A financing round for $102.5 million euros.
Another AI startup, Imbue, raised $200 million. Astera Institute, Nvidia and others came out in support of it. The project is valued by investors at more than $1 billion.
In August, South Korean telecom giant SK Telecom invested $100 million in Anthropic. The parties have entered into a partnership to create a large language model for Telco's AI platform.
At the beginning of the year, the US government released a declaration on the responsible use of artificial intelligence in the military.
