AlphaSense - $150 Million
AlphaSense, an AI-powered analytical platform for gathering public information, has successfully secured $150 million in funding from BOND, Alphabet CapitalG, and Goldman Sachs. This funding round has propelled the company's valuation from $1.7 billion to $2.5 billion.
Jack Kokka, the founder of AlphaSense, has stated that these funds will be used to expand corporate solutions and other products, solidifying the company's position as a leader in AI technology in the B2B sector.
Proof of Play - $33 Million
The gaming project Proof of Play has attracted $33 million in a seed funding round led by a16z and Greenoaks. The company intends to utilize these funds to develop the online game Pirate Nation, currently in its beta version. Gamers can assemble pirate crews, battle fantastical creatures, and compete with one another while earning rewards.
Proof of Play positions itself as both a blockchain game developer and a tech company. Amit Mahadjan, the CEO of the startup, aims to provide users with a "simple and free gaming experience" regardless of their preferred platform.
Story Protocol - $54 Million
Story Protocol, an open-source platform for verifying intellectual property rights, has successfully closed a $54 million funding round with support from a16z crypto, Hashed, Endeavor, and Dapper Labs founder Roham Garegozlou.
The project's team plans to allocate these funds toward "democratizing the verification of intellectual property rights through a global and expandable repository." This will offer users an optimized structure for managing the entire lifecycle of intellectual property, including tracking its origin, licensing, and revenue distribution.
Imbue - $200 Million
Imbue, a startup focused on artificial intelligence (formerly known as General Intelligent), has attracted $200 million from the non-profit organization Astera Institute, founded by former Ripple CTO Jed McCaleb and other investors.
The project's participants have stated their intent to use these funds to accelerate the development of practical AI agents capable of "achieving larger goals and safely operating in the real world."
Anthropic - Up to $4 Billion
In late September, Amazon Corporation announced strategic investments of up to $4 billion in Anthropic, a startup founded by former OpenAI employees. According to the company's statement, AWS will become the primary cloud provider for Anthropic, catering to critical workloads and providing access to cutting-edge computing infrastructure for model training and deployment.
It's worth noting that earlier this year, Anthropic secured $300 million from Google in February and an additional $450 million in May from Spark Capital, Salesforce Ventures, and Zoom Ventures.
